Tennessee National Forest

National Forest lands in the Tellico, Coker Creek area with miles of streams for dredging, panning, and sluicing are now available. You must call for a dredging permit which they will send you along with maps of areas you are allowed access to and rules and regulations. Permits are for three months, when about to expire call for a renewal three month permit. Maximum dredge size in these areas is 3 inches, do not break this rule and be sure to obey all National Forest rules leaving the area as good or better than you found it. The ability to prospect these areas is a privilege and should not be abused.
