Tesnatee River Property

Description

This property is beautiful and well known for it’s location in the gold belt. We now have about 1 1/2 miles of the Tesnatee River bank to bank, at least 450 acres! Real nice camping area between the blackberry patch and the river for tents only. Plenty of dead trees to cut for firewood. River is wide and offers exposed bedrock, rapids, and good stretches of deeper water for dredgers. Best of all this property was not heavily worked in the old mining days so plenty of gold should be left for members to recover responsibly. We are very lucky to have this property so we ask that all rules be strictly observed at all times.

Rules & Restrictions

Regular club rules apply with some exceptions:

Five day camping limit with a maximum of ten camp sites active at one time.
Tents only no campers. Camp in designated area only.
Prospecting is allowed only in the river with max dredge size of 5 inches. This is suction hose size and not nozzle size so nozzle restrictors will not qualify.
Back fill any dredge holes with tailings. If not possible then no tailings piles above water level
Pack it in, pack it out! Leave no trace
